What About the Ladies?

Women worked tirelessly to achieve their God-given rights throughout history.  Progressive reform began to take place in America during the early 1900s.  Many goals were pursued and movements of reform came to fruition during the first two decades of the 1900s including the enfranchisement of women, temperance, and the protection of working women and children.  Many women believed that these reforms could be achieved through the policital system with the election of sympathetic public officials and the passage of the appropriate legislation.
