This cartoon appeared in the Cleveland Press on March 9, 1978 along with an article by Dick McLaoughlin. The article told of the disappointment felt by patrons as establishments and Bookies were pushed out of the area of Short Vincent.

Morris "Mushy" Wexler stand outide the Theatrical Resturant in 1963. Known for running a gambling wire from the resturant he provided "the line" on sporting event and information on horse racing.

A police officer stands outside the Argonne Athletic Club in 1933. Police were investigating the club because it was suspected that illegal gambling was taking place there. The club was located at 722 Superior Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.
