Chinese Students with Volunteer Teacher

Subject

Description

These four Chinese children focus as their teacher engages them in an elementary art project. The children range in age from five to ten years old and the ten year old boy has a stencil of the English alphabet in front of him. This indicates that this class may have a focus of English as a second language, which was a very important subject for the immigrant children, as many of their parents did not speak English at home.
