Mary Varady (on right), who emigrated from Hungary in 1907, and her younger sister, Mildred Varady (on left), who was born in Cleveland in 1908. This photograph was taken in either 1909 or 1910 at the studio of "Paul Demeter Photographer," then located at 9309 Buckeye Road, Cleveland, Ohio. The occasion was probably Mary's First Communion.
